Review:

This coffee has notes of cocoa nibs, lemon citrus, orange zest and peanuts. The cups starts with a note of cocoa and then the citrus takes over. There is an underlying bitterness to the cup which I could liken to orange zest. There is a slight nuttiness to the balance. The cup is medium bodied. It is interesting to find these flavours in a washed coffee and that is what makes it a fairly decent coffee. It is one of those coffees which goes well with breads and savoury foods.

Balance: Bitter-complex acidity

Complexity: Low

Best for: Espresso, Aeropress

Worst for: NA

Pro tips:

Brew at lower temperatures of 85°C to 88°C for a sweet balance

Use a brew ratio of 1:15 to 1:16

Suggested grind size is medium-fine

Final verdict: Moderately recommended
