Review:
This coffee has notes of berries, honey and sweets. The roaster mentions blackberry, caramel and sweet floral as the tasting notes. Now these are really competitive coffees to brew. I found that if you brew using boiling hot water, the first note you get in the cup as soon as the brew hits your palate is of blackberry. Soon, a honey caramel-like balance takes over against a background of berries and floral. Flavours are superb in the cup. The aromatics are great and the coffee finishes with that blackberry it started with. A point of caution though. As the temperature of the brew drops, a distinct tartiness takes over. Personally of the view that this coffee should be consumed piping hot or iced. Otherwise, a beautifully roasted coffee.
