Review:

This coffee has notes of cocoa, citrus with a tea-like finish and flat spice note in the background. The roaster mentions notes of jasmine, bergamot, black tea and milk chocolate. Brewing this coffee was a fair bit of a challenge to get the nuances in the cup. In spite of the effort, I could not strike the right balance or match the notes mentioned by the roaster. The brew starts with a slight of milk chocolate but then the citrus takes over. It has a medium body and finishes off with a tea-like note. Interestingly though, the brew becomes better as the temperature reduces. Personally, this coffee has great potential which needs to be discovered by either tweaking the roast profile or the methods in which it is brewed.

Balance: Bitter-complex acidity

Best for: Pourover, Espresso

Pro tips:

Try brewing this coffee using a finer grind size to get more sweetness in the cup
