Review:
The coffee has notes of chocolate, cocoa nibs and citrus. The roaster mentions dark chocolate, star fruit, plums and maple syrup as the flavour notes but I find most of it to be missing. It is pretty straightforward and nothing too complex. The balance is amazing and you’ll find a citrusy play against a bitter-buttery background. The body is moderate. It has a nice chocolaty aftertaste with a slight stone-like dry finish. Overall a decent washed coffee.
Best for: Aeropress
Worst for: Cold brew
Pro tips:
Extracting the brightness can be done by using a smaller grind size and a lower water temperature. Very well suited to an Aeropress.
Final verdict: Moderately recommended. Typical washed coffee.
