Review:

This coffee has notes of chocolate, caramel and citrus lime. The roaster mentions mexican chocolate, caramel and orange zest as the tasting notes. This is one of those coffees which is very soft on the palate indicating a great balance. The roaster has done a good job in profiling it. The aroma of this coffee is dominated by a chocolate note which runs along the length of the cup, against a background of citrus lime or orange. It has a medium to light body. The cup finishes with a bitter-zesty note but leaves behind a sweet aftertaste. Overall, a pretty good coffee. An absolute delight brewing this one.

Balance: Sweet-bitter

Complexity: Low

Best for: Pourovers, Aeropress, Espresso

Worst for: NA

Pro tips:

Go finer to get a complex acidity in the cup and coarser to get a sweet-mellow balance. Keep in mind that if you go coarse, use a higher water temperature for brewing as you risk under extracting.

Final verdict: Highly recommended. A great everyday use coffee.
